1About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Zionsville Sourdough Supply LLC, which owns and operates The Baker’s House (“we”, “us”). They apply when you use this website and when you reserve bread through it. By using the site or making a reservation, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these terms.
If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site — you’re always welcome to visit or call the shop instead.
2Reservations
How a reservation works
Choose a pickup day, a pickup window and what you’d like, then give us a name for the bag and a way to reach you. Your reservation is made when the confirmation screen shows your reference; we also send the confirmation by text or email, as you choose. Please check the details — if something’s wrong, cancel and reserve again, or call us.
When you can reserve
Up to 30 days ahead, and never for the same day. Orders for each day close at 4pm the evening before, once we’ve measured the flour. If that time passes while you’re choosing, we’ll move your order to the next day we bake and show you what changed. Nothing is reserved until you submit.
Availability
We bake a set amount each day, and reservations are first come, first served. What the board shows is what’s available; when something’s gone, it’s gone. Large orders, wholesale and catering don’t run through the board — get in touch and we’ll plan them with you.
Limits
To keep things fair, one mobile number can hold up to three reservations for the same day, and we limit repeated reservations from one connection. We may decline or cancel reservations that look automated, fraudulent or abusive.
Pickup
Collect from the shop at 365 S. Main Street during the window you chose; we’ll have it bagged at the start of it. We hold reservations until close on the pickup day. After that, we may sell the bread rather than waste it. There’s no charge for a missed pickup, but please cancel if your plans change, so someone else can have it.
Cancelling and changing
Cancel any time before the end of your pickup day with the link in your confirmation, or by looking up your reservation with its reference and your mobile number. Reservations can’t be edited: to change the day or what you ordered, cancel and reserve again — subject to what’s still available and the cutoff — or call us.
If we have to cancel
Now and then an oven, the weather or the dough doesn’t cooperate. If we have to cancel your reservation, we’ll tell you by text or email as soon as we can. Since nothing is paid in advance, there’s nothing to refund.
Holiday runs
Holiday reservations follow the same terms, with the ordering dates and pickup days shown for each run.
3Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars and can change, but we’ll honor the price shown when you reserved. Nothing is charged online: you pay at the counter when you collect, by any payment method we accept in the shop, plus any sales tax that applies.
4Texts from us
The Baker’s House sends texts about reservations only: your confirmation, a note that your order is ready if you asked for one, and word if we have to cancel. We text you only if you choose text for your confirmation or tick “Also text me when the order is bagged and ready.” You don’t have to agree to texts to reserve — choose email instead.
- How often: usually one to three texts per reservation.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply.
- Stopping: reply STOP to stop our texts. To start them again, reply START and choose texts on your next reservation.
- Help: reply HELP, or contact us at (463) 348-2299 or support@bakershousebread.com.
- Mobile carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- If you change or give up your mobile number, please reply STOP from it first, so our texts don’t reach its next owner.
Your number and your agreement to receive texts are never shared for anyone’s marketing. See our Privacy Policy.
5Food, allergens and your health
Our kitchen is one small, shared space where we handle wheat, milk, eggs, sesame and tree nuts (walnuts go into a seasonal loaf). Each product lists its allergens, but because everything is made in the same room on the same equipment, we can’t guarantee that any product is free of any allergen. All of our bread contains wheat and gluten and isn’t suitable for anyone with celiac disease. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, ask us before you order.
What we say about sourdough, fermentation and digestion is general information about how bread is made — not medical or nutritional advice. If you have a health condition, talk to your doctor about what’s right for you.
Our bread is made without preservatives and is best within a day or two; follow the storage notes for each product. Everything is shaped by hand, so size, shape and color vary, and photos are illustrative.
6Using this website
Please use the site for what it’s for: learning about the bakery and reserving bread for yourself or the people you’re buying for. Please don’t:
- make reservations with automated tools, or in someone else’s name without their permission;
- try to reach parts of the site that aren’t meant for you, or to see or change anyone else’s reservation;
- interfere with the site’s security or operation, or overload it;
- copy large parts of the site or scrape it.
We may block access or cancel reservations that break these rules.
7Our content and our name
The words, photographs, graphics and design of this site belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. The Baker’s House name and our seal are our trademarks. You’re welcome to share links to our pages and to use the site for your own, non-commercial purposes; please ask before using anything else. Other brand names on this site belong to their owners.
8The ingredient comparison
The comparison tool reproduces ingredient lists from other companies’ packaging for general comparison only. Each list shows where and when we captured it; lists change, and the package is the final word. The tool isn’t a statement about the safety, quality or nutritional value of any product. Brand and product names belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products; we aren’t affiliated with any brand shown. If you spot a mistake, email support@bakershousebread.com and we’ll check it against the package and correct it promptly.
9Other websites
Links to other sites, such as Instagram, Google Maps or press articles, are there for convenience. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content or practices.
10Disclaimers
We work hard to keep the site accurate — hours, the board and what’s available — but it’s provided “as is” and “as available.” We can’t promise it will always be available, free of errors or up to date, and to the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties about the website. This section doesn’t limit any rights you have under the law as a buyer of our food.
11Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the website or a reservation — a missed pickup, say, or an item that sells out. If we’re responsible for a problem with a reservation, our total liability is limited to the price of the items in it. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law.
12Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version posted here, with its date, is the one that applies; a reservation you’ve already made keeps the terms in place when you made it. If a change is significant, we’ll say so on the site.
13Governing law and disputes
Indiana law governs these terms. If there’s a problem, talk to us first — most things can be fixed with a phone call. If we can’t resolve it, disputes will be decided in the state courts located in Boone County, Indiana, and either of us may bring a claim in small claims court where it qualifies.
14General
If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we haven’t given it up. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to whoever takes over the bakery. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the website and reservations.
